Ali Albarghouthi – Heart Therapy 27 – The Spring Of The Heart

Explanation of the 27th hadith in the Heart Therapy Series

The Prophet salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam said: (There is no one who is afflicted with distress and grief and says: O Allah, I am Your slave, son of Your slave, son of Your female slave; my forehead is in Your hand, Your command over me passes and Your decree over me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You with which You have named Yourself, revealed in Your Book, taught to any of Your creation, or have preserved in the knowledge of the Unseen with You, that You make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my breast, a departure for my sorrow, and a release from my anxiety, but Allah will take away his distress and grief and replace it with joy.) He was asked: O Messenger of Allah, should we learn these words? He said: (Of course; everyone who hears them should learn them.)
Reported by Ahmad (3712), al-Hakim, and ibn Hibban. Ibn al-Qayyim, Ahmad Shakir, and al-Albani declared it to be sahih (Al-Silsilah al-Sahihah 199)
